About Us
ABSTRACT
Established in 1976 the founder of Central Operating Lines LTD., did so as a visionary, not just for the sake of his passion for the hobby but for his community and surrounding communities alike.
47 years later, Central Operating Lines LTD., continues on as a visionary organization, grounded with those very same, unparalleled, tried-and-true core values being ethics and principles.
MISSION STATEMENT
WHO WE ARE
Central Operating Lines LTD., is comprised of a devout group of like minded and diverse individuals. It's that common interest in trains, both real and in modeling after them, that brings us together. The core values from which our organization was founded, along with our passion for the Model Railroading industry is why we are the oldest, O Scale Model Railroading Club on Long Island, NY. We're not just a club and an organization, we are also a family.
Each member is integral to the success of our organization and the rationale for its longevity of 46 years. Collectively, we are the heartbeat of the organization. Our core values are simple;

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY:
This is at the forefront of our organization. Each year we hold several open houses event's. We open our doors to the public for the soul purpose of raising money for charitable foundations, collecting food for our local food banks and pantries, and toys during the Christmas season, all of which, are donated to the needy and underprivileged.
EDUCATING OUR COMUNITY:
All who pass through our doors and visit with us leave with a better understanding of how the Railroads helped form our country and build both commerce and our economy, by moving goods and products from manufacturer to the end user (The Consumer).
HAVING FUN WITH THE HOBBY:
Building a scale model replica of a any particular named Railroad is exciting, fun and quite gratifying. Whether it's laying down track, erecting buildings, structures, lighting or adding scenery. It's just pure fun.
Operating trains on the layout is equally exciting and quite enjoyable to.
RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER AS WELL AS OTHERS AND PASSING ON TRADITION:
These require no explanation as they are self explanatory. They are simply embedded principle's by which our organization lives and abides by. Equality and respect to and for all. Passing on the tradition of Model Railroading comes with being a part of the organization.
MENTORSHIP:
We have many accomplished and proficient individuals with in our organization who can provide guidance as a mentor, to other members with a desire to learn and become equally accomplished and proficient in the model railroading hobby. This is another one of our core values at Central Operating Lines Ltd., that we believe strongly in. Building confidence and character through education and support.
